Rapid to normal-setting, shrinkage-compensated, thixotropic, fibre-reinforced, cementitious mortar, applied in a single layer from 1 to 40 mm thick, for repairing and smoothing concrete

Available in Cement, White, Charcoal and Natural Sand Colours.

POLY SKIM COAT is a decorative, commercial & industrial and preventative water-resistant wall & floor plaster that can be applied to all forms of concrete and brickwork substrates.

Cementitious skim coats are applied to provide a smooth, even finish to walls and ceilings, particularly over concrete and plaster surfaces. They can be used to repair imperfections, fill cracks, and prepare surfaces for painting or other finishes. Cementitious skim coats are thin layers of a cement-based material applied over existing surfaces. They are designed to create a smooth, uniform appearance, concealing imperfections and providing a suitable base for further coatings. 

Can be used on walls and floors for a beautiful concrete effect with the finish of your choice.

Characteristics :

• Easy to use (just add potable water).

• Can be used instead of plaster, tiles or traditional wall coatings.

• Can be brush finished to achieve a striking textured finish.

• Adjustable consistency (controlled by the amount of water added).

• Can be steel floated for smooth plaster like coating.

• Resistance to cracking. More durable than regular plaster finishes.

Coverage/Consumption - 20 kg pail, mixed with the correct amount of potable water, will result in approximately 1 sqm at 1mm thickness - dependant on various factors such as surface porosity. 

Application is subject to the application of a Bonding Agent before the installation of the Skim Coat.
